Jason Hicks is a dedicated criminal defense attorney and former state prosecutor serving clients throughout Brevard County, Florida. Licensed by the Florida Bar, Jason represents individuals in all areas of criminal law, including DUI, felony, and misdemeanor cases.
Born and raised in Brevard County in 1978, Jason graduated from Titusville High School in 1996. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in History with Honors from the University of Central Florida in 2002, before obtaining his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 2007.
After law school, Jason returned home to Brevard County, drawn back by his love for the community and the area’s coastal lifestyle. He began his career as a prosecutor at the State Attorney’s Office, gaining invaluable trial experience and developing a strong foundation in criminal litigation. His time as a prosecutor provided him with unique insight into the criminal justice system, which he now uses to defend the rights of his clients.
Over the course of his career, Jason has handled thousands of criminal cases from start to finish. His trial experience spans a wide range of matters, including DUI, Driving While License Suspended, drug possession, battery, and numerous other criminal charges. While his primary focus is criminal defense—particularly DUI and other misdemeanor and felony cases—Jason also represents clients in auto accident cases. His office is conveniently located in the heart of Cocoa Beach on A1A.
In recognition of his dedication to the legal profession, Jason was honored in 2009 with the Judge T. Mitchell Barlow Award by the Brevard County Bar Association. This prestigious award is presented annually to one young attorney in the county who exemplifies the highest ideals of the profession: character, competence, and commitment.
Outside of the courtroom, Jason enjoys spending time in the community he calls home, especially surfing along Brevard County’s coastline.
